All are welcome - come as you are!
A variety of activities provide ways for all our members and their friends to worship, play, and minister at St. Stephen's. While all of our activities are inclusive and welcome all, some may be of particular interest to those of us who are gay, lesbian, transgendered or bisexual.

St. Stephen’s began it’s work in the gay community in 1991 when AIDS was still considered the ‘gay plague’ by starting an AIDS Outreach Ministry. The focus was to educate people about the disease and provide solace and assistance to persons affected by AIDS/HIV, including members of the parish. The ministry has changed it’s focus over the years as the pandemic has changed, but is still a functioning, self sustaining Ministry of the parish working with other churches to provide assistance to those living with HIV/AIDS in the greater Miami community.

The Ministry organizes several fund-raisers each year which are eagerly awaited by the St. Stephen's community: the annual "Not So Square Dance" and the "Oktoberfest" are two of these.
Among many outreach activities, the Ministry involves the whole parish in providing an Angel Tree for children affected by HIV/AIDS at Christmas. |
Each spring a St. Stephen's contingent makes up a portion of the "Churches in the Grove" team for AIDS Walk Miami in support of Care Resource, a local AIDS Service Organization. |
Our members enjoy Third Saturday Monthly Rainbow Socials for the GLBT&F community (F stands for Friends).
The next Social will occur on Saturday, June 19, in the Parish Center from 6 to 8 pm - right after the 5:30 Mass and ending in time to make your dinner reservations or curtain.
All are welcome - come as you are!
